Everything You Need To Know About the 2026 MLB All-Star Week Events
The Futures Game, the MLB Draft, and, of course, the All-Star Game are fast approaching. Here's what you need to know.
The voting is over. The rosters have been revealed. The biggest and brightest stars in Major League Baseball are getting ready to show what they’ve got in the 2026 All-Star Game.
The Midsummer Classic isn’t just the nominal halfway point of the MLB season. It’s the final event in a whirlwind period of exciting baseball action.
Everything kicks off with the HBCU Swingman Classic on Friday, July 10. Then, fans have the MLB Draft, the Futures Game, the Home Run Derby, and a brand-new All-Star week event to look forward to before the big game on Tuesday night.

How To Watch the 2026 HBCU Swingman Classic

MLB All-Stars Jimmy Rollins and Rickie Weeks are the managers for this year’s contest, the fourth annual Swingman Classic. The game features 50 talented young players from Division I schools, chosen by a committee that includes Ken Griffey Jr. The Hall of Famer founded the event in 2023.

How To Watch the 2026 MLB Draft
Rounds 1-4 (Day 1)

The first 10 selections will be broadcast on NBC (and streamed on Peacock) from 1:00-2:30 pm ET. The next 30 picks will air on MLB Network and stream on MLB.tv/MLB.com/MLB+. The rest of Day 1 (picks 41-135) will also be available to watch on MLB.tv/MLB.com/MLB+.

How To Watch the 2026 All-Star Futures Game

As usual, this year’s Futures Game will feature many of the most exciting prospects in the sport, including Just Baseball’s No. 1 prospect Jesus Made. Former Phillies Shane Victorino and Larry Bowa will manage the teams.

How To Watch MLBx All-Star 3-on-3
- Date: Sunday, July 12
- Time: Directly following the All-Star Futures Game
- Ballpark: Citizens Bank Park, Philadelphia
- TV Channel: MLB Network (11:00 am ET on Monday, July 13)
Directly following the Futures Game, MLBx will make its All-Star week debut. MLB.com describes the game as “a fast-paced 3-on-3 format built around power hitting, athletic catching and co-ed teamwork.”
Each of the four teams in the event will include one former MLB All-Star, one AUSL star, and a special guest. Ryan Howard, Jimmy Rollins, Shane Victorino, and Andruw Jones will captain the teams, and they’ll be joined, respectively, by Alyssa Brito, Tiare Jennings, Rachel Garcia, and Nijaree Candy.
Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith has been announced as the third player on Howard’s team, while former Eagles wide receiver Terrell Owens will play for Rollins. The third players for Victorino’s and Jones’ teams have not yet been announced.

How To Watch the 2026 MLB Home Run Derby

As of July 7, two sluggers have been confirmed to participate in the Home Run Derby: Junior Caminero and Ben Rice. Six more hitters will join them in the competition, which will feature some significant rule changes.

It all ends with the 96th MLB All-Star Game. The Red Carpet Show begins at 2:00 pm ET on MLB Network, while coverage of the game itself begins at 7:00 pm ET on FOX. First pitch is scheduled for 8:00 pm ET.
