After winning Game 1 of the American League Wild Card Series last October, the Boston Red Sox came up short in back to back games following that victory leading to an early exit from the postseason.

Bolstering their already incredibly strong starting staff, the Red Sox added free agent Ranger Suarez to a five-year, $130 million deal on top of acquiring Sonny Gray in a trade with the St. Louis Cardinals earlier in the offseason.

Although the club saw Alex Bregman depart for the Chicago Cubs, the elite top of the rotation along with position player acquisitions of Willson Contreras, and Caleb Durbin, should put this team in the strong position BetMGM believes they will be in.

As we analyze the Boston Red Sox 2026 betting menu, there are a plethora of notable futures that have the team right in the mix to make some noise during the 2026 campaign.

Win Total – Over/Under

BOS Over/Under: 87.5 wins (-115/-105)

In 2025, the Red Sox finished with 89 wins, good for the over on their preseason projected line of 86.5 (-110/-110).

This year, the club has gained a full win on their preseason projected line and the over is the favored outcome, per BetMGM.

Even with the departure of Bregman, BetMGM projects the Red Sox to be a better team, at least during the regular season.

What Are the Red Sox Odds to Win the AL East?

Red Sox Odds to win the AL East: +300

The Red Sox find themselves with the third-best odds to win the American League East in 2026, which is no surprise given the toughness of the division.

Interestingly, BetMGM predicts the Red Sox chances of winning the AL East are more similarly comparable to the Blue Jays (+260), who successfully won the division last year, as to the Yankees who finished runner-up in 2025 but lead the 2026 AL East odds by a notable gap at +180.

What Are the Red Sox Odds to Win the American League?

BOS Red Sox American League Winner: +700

At +700, the Boston Red Sox have the fourth-best odds to win the American League Pennant in 2026.

Just like their divisional odds, the Red Sox find themselves trailing the Yankees (+450) and the Blue Jays (+600), a long with the Seattle Mariners (+500) whom all advanced further in the postseason this past year.

What are the Odds the Red Sox Win the World Series?

BOS Red Sox World Series Winner: +1600

Without a doubt the Boston Red Sox path to a World Series Championship in 2026 would come as a surprise to many, which makes sense given the fact that they’re listed as a sizable underdog at +1600.

In a three-way tie with the Philadelphia Phillies and the Atlanta Braves for the fifth-best odds, the Red Sox still pose to be a drastic longshot even though there are plenty of teams with far worse chances.

The difference in implied probability between a Los Angeles Dodgers World Series victory in the coming campaign (+225), to the Red Sox, is ~24.89%. This 24.89%, which was calculated by subtracting the Dodgers WS win implied probability of 30.77% by the Red Sox WS win implied probability of 5.88%, just goes to show the extreme fall off in likelihood of a Red Sox World Series title as compared to the back-to-back favorites, even though Boston is still ahead of most of the field.

Dark Horse American League MVP Candidate?

Roman Anthony AL MVP Winner: +1600

In a five-way tie for the 6th best odds, Roman Anthony comes into the new year at +1600 to win the American League MVP.

To no surprise, Aaron Judge leads the AL MVP odds at +200, with runner-ups Bobby Witt Jr. (+500) and Cal Raleigh (+800) trailing just behind.

If some of these stars falter, combined with a breakout season from the former top prospect, Roman Anthony can certainly make noise in the MVP conversation in 2026. In just his second year, BetMGM is giving Anthony equal odds to take home the award as perennial All-Stars Vladimir Guerrero Jr., José Ramírez, and Gunnar Henderson. Don’t forget about the young man that just won the 2025 Rookie of the Year, Nick Kurtz, either.

Undeniably, BetMGM believes Anthony deserves ample credit in the MVP race even though he remains a longshot to win the award.

Who Leads the American League Cy Young Race?

Garrett Crochet American League Cy Young Winner: +400

The race for the American League Cy Young award this year figures to be similar to the one from last season.

Red Sox ace Garrett Crochet only trails Tarik Skubal of the Detroit Tigers (+300) to win the award. Notably separate from the pack, Skubal and Crochet are given way better odds than third-best Jacob DeGrom who comes in at +1000.

Which Red Sox can Win the AL Rookie of the Year?

Connelly Early American League Rookie of the Year Winner: +2000

Unfortunately, Red Sox young phenom Roman Anthony does not qualify for the Rookie of the Year award in the coming season, as he accrued more than 130 at-bats during the 2025 season.

Instead, LHP Connelly Early finds himself as the Red Sox with the best odds to win the award in 2026, since he maintained his rookie eligibility for the upcoming campaign. BetMGM leans towards new Blue Jays INF Kazuma Okamoto (+400) and Tigers INF Kevin McGonigle (+475) as the favorites, while Early has the eighth-best odds.

What’s the Best Bet on the Board?

Before you shout about Skubal, last year’s winner, let’s objectively break down the scenario for the 2026 season.

Firstly, almost all other Red Sox futures are drastic longshots, and this wager makes the most sense given the rest of the competition in the American League.

With their pricing, BetMGM is almost explicitly telling you this award will either come down to Crochet or Skubal, with the slight lean towards the latter.

With Skubal facing free agency in the upcoming offseason, it’s not necessarily a guarantee that he will even remain in the AL for the whole year. If Detroit faces a tough first half, they could look to maximize on a return for his services, especially since they likely won’t retain him on a massive contract handed out during the winter.

Additionally, Skubal did pitch in this year’s World Baseball Classic, which is without a doubt much different from your typical spring training build-up. Although it was just one appearance, there’s something to be said about getting the gun hot early, which could increase injury risk down the road.

Ultimately, if we are looking to capitalize on a Red Sox future from their 2026 Betting Menu we should lean towards Crochet in the Cy Young race. From a value perspective, it appears to be the best bet in terms of likeliness to hit compared to payout if it cashes.

Bets like the Red Sox team Over/Under win total essentially are a coin toss where no matter which side you pick you have no strong lean, and the payout isn’t rewarding enough. The two-horse race the AL Cy Young shapes up to be this year is most likely where we should capitalize on the Red Sox betting menu.
