Imagine staring into an MLB free agent pool with the likes of Tarik Skubal, Michael King, Randy Arozarena, Seiya Suzuki, and many other high-caliber stars.

The opportunity to overhaul or improve your roster with just a few key free agent signings.

The 2027 MLB free agent class promises to have the most notable names in recent memory.

Kyle Tucker, Pete Alonso, Kyle Schwarber, Dylan Cease, and Framber Valdez highlighted a strong 2025 free agent market, but the 2026-2027 outlook might upstage them, offering an appealing mix of sluggers, young arms, and talented veterans.

Plenty of players are poised to test the open market with opt-outs, shorter deals, or incentive-laden contracts, thanks to the evolving landscape of the current CBA.

The 2026–27 MLB free agents list has headlining stars at almost every position.

That’s why this article will serve as your position-by-position, live tracker for the upcoming 2027 free agency frenzy — updated regularly as free agency rumors heat up, unfold, and star players put pen to paper with a new club (or sign extensions with current teams).

Regardless of what happens, we’re in for a wild ride.

Check out each positional section’s “Read More” for more in-depth breakdowns of every player available at each position in 2026. Also, further in this article, we’ll tease free agent pools for 2028 to 2030.
