The cards have been dealt for the last day of June, and it is an exciting hand in the Bronx tonight. Pocket Aces.

Tarik Skubal and Cam Schlittler will go head-to-head and the books are leaning towards the Yankees in this one. The Yankees new ace has exploded onto the scene over the last 12 months, while Skubal has been doing his best to return to his Cy Young form after rejoining the Tigers after injury.

Skubal’s last outing was at home against the Yankees where he posted 18 outs, 9 strikeouts, 4 hits, and 4 earned runs. Half of those hits were home runs off of the bat of Paul Goldschmidt.

Goldschmidt is now 7-for-13 with 4 home runs against one of the most dominant pitchers in baseball. Yet, like most of the Yankees lineup, he is hitless over his last 4 games. If the Yankees want to stop this 5 game skid, they need Goldschmidt to do what he does best: get hits off of Tarik Skubal.

With a solid head-to-head matchup paired with his 2026 stat line (.284 AVG, 14 HR, 41 RBI, and .870 OPS), I am riding with Goldy here to continue frustrating Skubal.

Los Angeles Angels at Seattle Mariners

9:40 PM Eastern

I love Bryan Woo, who takes the bump for the M’s tonight. But what I love more is value.

Woo has been solid against right-handed hitters, allowing an average just over .220 and a slugging percentage of .312. This is probably where the odds have leaned to.

However, Jo Adell enters tonight’s showdown having cleared his line for 0.5 bases in 6 of his last 10 games, averaging 1.7 bases per game in that span. Does this sound like a situation where BetMGM would have a player’s line set to 0.5 bases and make the over -135? No, it doesn’t. But here we are.

With the value the above line implies, one would assume Adell must have putrid numbers versus Woo. In reality, it is just the opposite. Adell is 5-for-11 off Woo with 3 home runs, a double, and an OPS of 1.864.
