The final stretch is in front of us — 12 weeks down, and the picture continues to get more fuzzy with the exception of a few clear front-runners. We’ve got some new teams in the mix again, and, of course, the middle of the pack is as unclear as it’s ever been in 2026.

Let’s dive into this week’s top 25 rankings update.

Biggest Risers

Texas may not have benefitted from this weekend in terms of spots rising, but it’s clear that the Longhorns mean business. They took a series win over Mississippi State in Austin after it came down to a crucial rubber match. In a war of depth-on-depth, Texas proves to be there with the best of them.

Kansas keeps their stranglehold on the Big 12 with a sweep over Arizona and now own 10 consecutive wins. Heading into Morgantown next week, this is the series that may just determine if the Big 12 will have a regional host in 2026.

Arkansas threw their hat back into the ring this weekend with a win over the Rebels of Ole Miss, getting them to the crucial 13-win mark in SEC play. While the RPI and Q1 resume aren’t quite up to snuff yet, the Hogs have two great chances to boost their stock in Oklahoma and Kentucky.

Biggest Sliders

Nebraska arguably took the biggest hit of the weekend, getting swept in Columbus by the Ohio State Buckeyes. While the future looked bright for three Big 10 hosts, the Cornhuskers look to bounce back with Iowa next weekend.

Boston College suffered a crucial series loss to the last-place ACC team coming into the weekend, the Clemson Tigers. While Birdball was relying on a high quantity of wins, hanging their hat on a series win against Virginia, their conference finale with the Yellow Jackets looms as what could be their signature win.

Oklahoma falls out of the rankings with a series loss to the Florida Gators. While both teams felt like fringe ranked teams coming into week 12, we knew one would come out on top with the other falling out completely.

Others Receiving Votes

Jacksonville State has one of the stronger cases of teams on the outside looking in after a big series win over the Missouri State Bears. With the strength of schedule being the biggest bottleneck in the Gamecocks’ way, another good week may cement them in the conversation.

Other Key Storylines

UCLA clinched their outright Big 10 regular season Conference Championship in a sweep over the Michigan State Spartans, as they still remaining undefeated in conference play.
