Every year the New York Yankees establish a standard across the organization that any season result short of a championship is a failure.  After coming up short in the 2025 season, the Yankees are turning the page to 2026 with a roster that is very similar to their post trade deadline roster that saw them boast a 34-19 record which paces for 104 wins stretched over 162 games.

The focal point of this past offseason for the Yankees was to re-sign Cody Bellinger, which came to a head in late January when the outfielder signed for five years and $162.5 million

Other than that, the Yankees made further marginal retentions like re-signing Tim Hill and Amed Rosario, and extending the Qualifying Offer to Trent Grisham, which he then accepted, for $22.025 million.

Looking through the betting menu for 2026, the Yankees have many favorable futures that ultimately sum up what seems to be a season in which they can return to the World Series.

Win Total – Over/Under

NYY Over/Under: 90.5 wins (-110/-110)

The New York Yankees gained a full win (89.5) on their projected win total following the 2025 campaign that saw them finish runner up in the AL East due to a head to head tie-breaker with the Toronto Blue Jays.

Both in 2024 and 2025, the Yankees finished with 94 regular-season wins which cashed the over on their preseason projection both times. In 2026, the Yankees are running back an eerily similar roster to the previous year, which bodes well for the over based on consistency.

Yankees American League East Odds: +180

The Yankees at +180 are the current betting favorite to win the American League East division, even after falling short last season. The Toronto Blue Jays, whom the Yankees tied in win total last year but lost the division to due to tie-breakers, are a sizable underdog at +260 with the Boston Red Sox just trailing them at +300.

What Are the Odds the Yankees Win the AL Pennant?

New York Yankees American League Winner: +450

As the slight favorite, the Yankees have the best odds to win the AL pennant and return to the World Series at +450. The Seattle Mariners, who lost in last year’s ALCS, are just behind at +500, while the arch-rival Blue Jays sit at +600.

What Are the Odds the Yankees Win the World Series?

New York Yankees World Series Odds: +1000

The Yankees enter the 2026 season as the team with the second best chances to win the World Series at +1000. It should be noted the extreme gap between favorite Los Angeles Dodgers (+225) and the Yankees in second is drastic. The rest of the field behind the Yankees is relatively close in implied odds, with the Mariners and Blue Jays tied for third at +1300.

Who Surrounds Aaron Judge in the AL MVP Race?

Aaron Judge AL MVP Odds: +200

Seeking his fourth MVP award, it’s no surprise Aaron Judge comes into the 2026 season as the clear favorite in the AL to take home the hardware once again. Notably, Kansas City Royals shortstop Bobby Witt Jr. has leap-frogged last year’s runner-up Cal Raleigh at +500 and +800, respectively.

The next closest Yankee to Aaron Judge is Bellinger at an extreme longshot of +5000 to win the award.

Who on the Yankees has the Best Odds to Win the Cy Young?

Max Fried AL Cy Young Odds: +1400

As it stands entering 2026, the American League Cy Young award is really a two-man race between Detroit Tigers ace Tarik Skubal (+300), and Boston’s Garret Crochet (+400).

Yankees ace Max Fried has the sixth-best odds to win the award at a longshot of +1400.

Which Yankee Could Win the 2026 AL Rookie of the Year?

Spencer Jones AL ROTY Odds: +3500

Outfielder Spencer Jones finds himself as the Yankee with the best odds (+3500) to win the AL Rookie of the Year Award, even though he was assigned to the minor leagues on the ninth of March. Barring injury, Jones won’t make the Yankees’ Opening Day roster and is set to start the season with the Triple-A Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders.

The Yankees, who are running back almost the same exact lineup as last season, most likely won’t feature any rookies on a day-to-day basis, at least in their position player group.

What’s our Lean on a 2026 New York Yankees Future Bet?

Aaron Judge American League MVP Winner: +200 ✅

Although it seems obvious, the chalk pick of Aaron Judge to win the AL MVP award at +200 is easily the safest Yankees future you could place.

None of the expected metrics or advanced analysis points to any regression for Judge in the upcoming campaign, and as the season progresses the payout for Judge to win the award will lower due to his implied probability rising and the price worsening.

The only way this price improves is if Judge has an injury that causes him to miss substantial enough time to diminish his chances at winning the award. At that point, taking Judge at a price higher than +200 to win the MVP would be unwise, since he most likely won’t accrue enough counting stats and/or WAR to beat out his competition.

An extreme caveat to that would be if Judge broke a record or set an unprecedented standard even after missing substantial time, which is extremely hard to predict especially before the season begins.
